FREE Children Books from B&N and Borders

Barns and NobleHere’s a summer program for kids grades 1-6 from Barnes & Noble. Through their “Imagination’s Destination” Summer Reading program kids can earn free books. The way it works is kids download the Reading Journal, read 8 books & then list them on the downloaded journal. Once the reading journal is complete, turn it in by September 6, 2011 & choose a free book from Barnes & Noble’s free book list.

BordersAnother bookstore that’s having a summer reading program is the down but not out Borders. Their program is called “Summer Reading Double-Dog Dare”. For this one kids 12 & under read 10 books, complete the Borders reading journal, that they download, then turn it in by September 5th, 2011 at any Borders, Borders Express or Waldenbooks store to choose a free book from the free book list.

Free or Cheap Kids Movies for Summer 2011

Summer! It’s that time of year when we need to keep our kids entertained without hurting our pocketbooks 😀

Last year more then a few movie theaters were doing free summer kids movies. This year, a few of them are doing it again. A lot of others are charging bellow $2 per person.

AMC theaters are not doing their Summer MovieCamp this year, but if you go before noon to see their G & PG rated films (during their summer schedule) they’ll have special pricing.

Free Rice For The Hungry

Free Rice

FreeRice is a non-profit website run by the United Nations World Food Program. It’s an innovative and free way to help the worlds hungry, and all you have to do is answer some questions. The more you answer correct the more rice gets donated.

Pick the subject, like math or art and give it a try. It’s actually pretty educational.
